Welcome to our 110 Class Blog. The goal of our blog is to extend our theme discsussion beyond the classroom and to broaden our understanding of new technology rhetoric in the media.
Over the course of the quarter, student groups will submit for discussion other blogs found online relating to our course theme. Each week a member of the student group presenting will post to our blog both a link to the blog under review as well as questions and/or discussion prompts for analyzing that blog. The rest of the class will then read through the prompts and the comments submitted and write their own brief response to the post.
Step by Step Instructions:
Group Posting
1.) One member of the group logs into their blogger account
2.) On his or her dashboard, our class blog should be listed under "Manage Blogs"
3.) Beneath our blog title, click "New Post"
4.) Title your post with your group name and the blog being discussed. Example: Group 1 - Leadership Blog.
5.) Copy and paste a link to the blog for discussion into the body of the post
6.) Write a brief description of the blog and then pose some questions or prompts for other students to respond to
7.) Proofread your post and click "Publish"
8.) Finished!
Student Commenting
1.) Sign in to your Blogger account
2.) Go to our blog's website (Save it in your computer's Favorites if you have a Mac/PC)
3.) Click on the post you wish to respond to
4.) Read the post & prompts and then visit the website of the blog being discussed
5.) Review the website
6.) Return to the class log and below the post add a concise yet intelligent comment
7.) Proofread your comment and click "Post Comment"
8.) Finished!
