Instead, the device responds to how your body moves. According to the advertiser, the Kinect goes beyond technology and into the realm of magic. The advertiser states that this device is "instantly fun" and that is has the ability to get "everyone" involved in that fun. In the pictures displayed, people are both active and smiling.

In this commercial, advertisers were trying to capture the attention of men and women of every age, race and occupation. They achieved this by showing a variety of people playing the Xbox Kinect! They also showed a variety of combinations of these people (for instance, it wasn't just kids playing with kids, but a businessman playing with a child!) In regards to the second question, often times people have the mindset that just because they see someone else doing it, their experience will be similar. That is why the advertisers consciously used the technique of modeling what your experience could be like because they knew if would make the audience want to buy the product. The best technique that these advertisers used was casting a variety of subjects because it makes the product more relatable and universal.
After viewing the video, one can tell that the advertisers are targeting people of sorts. The video represents a wide spectrum of our population playing Xbox Kinect; young, old, men, women, Black, Cinese, Caucasian, and the list goes on. The video brings different people together to play Xbox. The joyful emotions expressed by these people really intrigues the viewer. The bright green and purple colors further grab the viewers attention and puts them in a happier mood. The colors and emotions combined makes the viewer feel that the Xbox Kinect will make them happy and bring them closer to their loved ones. I personally have played with the Xbox Kinect before, and I think the video does a good representation of the fun that it can provide in bringing people together.
This advertisement was aimed at women and men of all ages and races. It showed this by including children, teenagers, college student and adults and included african americans, asians and white people all playing the Kinect with each other. The "fun aspect" is clearly seen because bright colors connect to happiness and their emotions include excitement and joy while playing the Kinect. This fun, happy brightness makes the consumer want it because then it seems that they will be happy and having fun too! The happiness factor along with the thought that anyone can play it makes it very appealing to a variety of consumers.
The advertisement was not focusing on a particular group of individual. As seen in the advertisement individuals of all age, sex, race and occupation were not only playing but also enjoying the Xbox Kinect, so the advertisement was trying to attract all of them.The smile,excitement and enjoyment on everyone's face while playing the Xbox was the main reason of the "fun aspect".It is scientifically proven that bright colors is one of the reasons of happiness, and when you are happy you have fun in whatever you do. I think the suspense till the end of what actually is happening and when they know that the games could be played without any controllers they would really want to buy it. Also the people can also do there exercise with great enjoyment would intrigue people to purchase it
The advertisement is targeting every age group in all races. We can see that the advertisement has included people with different ethnicity background and from various age groups. The advertisement, based on my observation, is mainly targeting people who are physically active. From the start to end, it never displayed a single person who’s obese. It also displayed multiple people in every scene which suggested the idea of that Kinetic can make a person socially active. Everyone in the commercial looks really happy and enjoyable and the bright color of the page is adding the active elements to the commercial, which will attract people and make them buy it.
This ad is aiming to people in all ages from all over the world, but it mainly focuses on six or seven to middle age people. As the ad shows, the scenes change to wherever there are people, no matter in the classrooms or offices, and even in the , as long as those player are physically active they could enjoy the feeling that XBOX brings for people. People's facial expression as well as their emotion would make people curious about the feeling playing Xbox. And, the commercial adds bright color to create a fresh and brisk ambience to enhance the effect of attracting people. All in all, this commercial uses emotions of the individuals and the bright color in order to arise people's interests and persuade them to buy the product.

It does not matter who you are, anyone can play, but the commercial mainly markets towards children to middle age people because those are the age groups featured in the video. The bright colors definitely add a "spark" to the commercial which adds to the expressions on the faces of the actors. Everyone appears to be having fun and enjoying themselves, whether you are with family or friends, or even at work. All of these aspects makes the consumer, me, want to purchase the xbox kinect. I would love to be able to have as much fun as the actors are in the video, without even having to leave the comfort of my own home.

The ad metions that "all you have to do is be you" and this implies that the Kinect is for simply for anyone. All the dancing, wild movements, smiling and laughing is the advertiser's way of suggesting that with this product you are guarenteed a fun enjoyable time. The bright colors in this ad are meant to catch our eye and attrach us. The entertainment and the fun time aspect that the Kinect offers in this commercial is what makes the consumer so intrigued to make the purchase.
For the video for Xbox Kinect I believe that this ad is trying to focus on all people of any age. It is telling us that this is a fun hands free interactive device that everyone can enjoy. The bright colors of this ad represent fun by showing warmth and friendliness. If you wanted to show fear you would use darker music and dark maybe even black clothes being shot in the dark with no hardly any light. But this ad does the complete opposite is shows warmth and friendliness has the romm all light up everyone jumping around, kicking, and running in place. Everyone is smiling and laughing. I think that this ad would make a comsumer buy this cause of the hands free interactive that this clearly displaces in the ad for Xbox Kinect. I think that by this ascpet along with the bright happy cast of people that protrey family and friend, I think that this product will sell for itself. Mostly by word of mouth from the consumer.
This advertisement basically is trying to attract all kinds of people in the world to play games with Xbox 360 and have fun. The video shows that people with different ages, different genders, different culture backgrounds play various interesting games together which smartly implies that Xbox 360, this new kinds of advanced technology, can bring funs to everyone in audiences’ life. Also, the advertisement conveys emotions of happy, exciting, and enjoyable to the audiences through the face expression and movement of the smiling and jumping energetic women and men in the page which indicates the audiences that they will be entertained if they purchase the product.
I agree with Ashleigh in that the audience varies, however I do think that it is targetting a more specific group. I think the xbox is targetting young athletic groups of people and families. More and more are families taking part in video games as a family activity.
I think the market of xbox is for younger people who are more active and have time to do it, or whole family. Personally, i like this advertisement, especially the color. Green and white give me a refreshing feeling that makes me want to enjoy my life instead of working and studying.
